Abstract

There is no specific definition for „complex‟ although many organisations are defined as
such. Many academics and business authors provide ideas and methods on how to deal with large,
complex organisations (LCO) but none provide definitions. This paper proposes a definition of a
large, complex organisation which can then be used as a mapping tool to assist organisations to select
appropriate communication methods when sharing management information between Information
Technology (IT) business projects.
