Abstract

This chapter makes up part of a volume which resulted from a trinational conference on the 200th anniversary of Kant’s death. The volume as a whole outlines aspects of Kant’s relationship with France – in particular the stimuli he received from French thinkers and the influence that he exercised on political thought in France and on French philosophy, science and literature.
