Abstract

The Centre for Institutional Studies at the University of East London was commissioned by the South Leytonstone SRB in August 2001 to undertake an independent evaluation of the local Agenda 21 project. The Agenda 21 Neighbourhood Development Programme aims to improve the quality of life for people living in South Leytonstone by giving them the means and opportunities to make decisions and implement strategies which will improve their environment, safety and strengthen the community.
