| Description | In May 2023, 4DSOUND and Amoenus invited artists, musicians, creatives, performers and designers, to take part in a 5-day workshop on spatial sound. Twenty participants had the opportunity to explore the potential of spatial sound through the use of 4DSOUND technology and develop compositions for a one-of-a-kind 37.4 spatial audio installation. During the workshop participants gained technical, theoretical, and creative insight into how to produce and present spatial sound productions. This 5-day deep-dive course took place in a bespoke 4DSOUND system installed at the historic arts venue, Stone Nest in Soho. In the process of the course, participants, including AVA Senior Lecturer Dr Christian Groothuizen, collaborated to create original works in spatial audio, which were presented in a sold out public event at Stone Nest on Friday the 19th of May. |
