| Abstract | In this interview for Displaced Voices, Ana María Pelusa, a Chilean refugee who came to the UK in 1974, reflects on what the 50th anniversary of the Chilean coup means to her. Before dealing with the coup, its dreadful aftermath and what it felt like to arrive in Britain as a refugee, I began by asking her about her memories of life in Chile before the coup. We also spoke about her unrelenting struggle for justice for the victims of the Chilean dictatorship 50 years on and her recollections of Pinochet’s arrest in London, 25 years ago this autumn.
