Abstract

This study was carried out to investigate the effects of the silane coupling agent on the
mechanical properties of the fruit pits powder, reinforced epoxy composites. The choice of the
coupling agent has a significant effect on the fibre-matrix interfacial properties of the composites and
this paper aims to present results of the investigation together with the relevant discussion on the way
in which the properties have been enhanced by the use of coupling agents.
