Abstract	Since the introduction of bitcoin in 2009, cryptocurrencies have attracted huge levels of interests amongst many, including: investors, businesses, regulators, governments and even criminals. Despite the benefits attributed to them, they can also be used to transact illegalities which transcend national jurisdictions and therefore require international cooperation in the regulation of their usage.
